"Just South Of Where I'm From" came out of our last 3 day writing session in January 2016. Michael embraced the idea and filled in details about his growing up with his grandparents in Mississippi that brought the song to life. One of the things that I love about writing with Michael is how the songs we write come alive when he sings them and I hope to share his version of this song after he returns from his current National tour.
