Dances Turn Into Dreams
I wrote "Dances Turn Into Dreams" for the score "Urban Cowboy-The Musical" which appeared on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theater in 2003. The pitch sheet said that the creators were looking for a barroom benediction to be sung to announce the last call at Gilley's, The show had work-shopped in New York and then had an out of town run at the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Florida, Former Vice President Al Gore attended the Broadway opening being from Tennessee, and former Governor Ann Richards from Texas recorded the cell phone announcement. A few months into the run, the songwriters, including myself and musical director Jason Robert Brown, were nominated for "Best Original Score" for the TONY Awards. The TONY Awards were held at Radio City Music Hall and Sarah Jessica Parker read the names for our category. Dances do turn into dreams!

I’d Just Hate Missing You
"I‘d Just Hate Missing You" is a poignant waltz that deals with the ambivalence that occurs when someone is at the crossroads of realizing that they're in a relationship with a person that they can't live with and can't live without. This one (hopefully) has a happy ending!

A Little Piece Of Boston
This song was written at the time of the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013. I have a special place in my heart for Boston, and now the entire country does as well. We were all deeply moved both by the senseless tragedy and by the city's heroic response.

Married Lover’s Blues
Over the years, love keeps evolving and changing. Here's a song about love and marriage and how it's not always obvious on the surface when true love deepens with time.
